Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports began when she was 14 years old. She began training in kickboxing boxing wrestling, and BJJ. She made her debut as an amateur at the age of 18, at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd built on this victory and then went on to a three-fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents within the first round of all fights. In WCFC Ladd was able to defeat Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia beat Aspen and defeated her in an unanimous decision. This put an ominous mark on her record for amateur. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff, and increased her amateur record from 8-1 to 8-1. Aspen made her pro debut in the year 2015, when she signed with Invicta FC. Invicta 11 saw her slay Ana Carolina Vidal to score TKO victory in the opening round. Invicta Fc16 was Aspen's first bout as a bantamweight. She beat Amanda Cooper with an armbar during the second round. Aspen utilized the skills she had learned in wrestling to defeat McGill. She won the fight with a the TKO (3rd round) (elbows, punches). Aspen later fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, weighing weight of catchweight (138.1lb), as Ladd had missed weight. However, Aspen was able to dominate Hoy. She won by KO in the 2nd round. Her final fight with this promotion, Ladd beat Sijara Eubanks via an unanimous decision in Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, with a bout against Lina Langsberg. She was a step ahead of Lina with her ground and pound techniques and earned a TKO second-round victory. In her next fight, she overcame Tonya Evinger more convincingly. Ladd ended Evinger in the first round. She also received her a night's performance bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes, in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos-Lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was the first match she's had in a major role. Both fighters put up an exchange of blows that culminated with Ladd triumphing via a unanimous decision and each fighter received the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd within 16 seconds, breaking her streak of winning. Yana Knitskaya lost by Ladd in the third round of UFC 7.7 on ESPN. For a rematch She fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. It was a loss by majority decision.
